In the past week, I would guess that I woke up extremely early 5 out of 7 days but didn’t take advantage of that time….. Lots of MISSED OPPORTUNITY 🙂

I could have done several things on my long to do list:

  • Fold Laundry
  • Make Breakfast
  • Sweep the Floor
  • Unload the Dishwasher
  • Journal
  • Drink coffee on the cool patio in a blanket
  • Clean
  • Pray
  • Read
  • Yoga
  • Run

BUT, each of those days, I chose to lay there and force my body to go back to sleep. Fall is my favorite time of year. It was a perfect week of laying with my window open and enjoying the cool breeze. However, not only did it make me mad when I finally woke up, but I allowed myself to think about it a couple times throughout the week and got angry just thinking about it.

I am not a morning person, but someday I will be 🙂 I bought the Morning Miracle, but I haven’t made the time to read it yet. It has been acclaimed as one of the most life changing books ever written, and its been sitting on my nightstand for a couple months now.

WHAT AM I WAITING FOR? One night last week I decided to be specific in starting my morning today different. I went to bed with intentions on waking up an hour earlier than normal.   Guess what, I woke up at 4:45 AGAIN! I forced myself to go back to sleep and wake up an hour early like I promised myself. I even did it, but stayed in bed thinking it was some trick… On the third day of my body telling me I can get up earlier I actually did it. I got up early and did the following: Folded laundry, read, prayed, made Fisher lunch to take to school

This is the statement that grabbed my attention from the back of the book and prompted me to purchase it. I just ordered the journal and I’m excited to get started transforming my mornings!

“What if you could Miraculously wake up tomorrow and any – or every area of your life was transformed? What would be different? Would you be happier/ Healthier? More Successful? In better shape? Would you have more energy? Less Stress? More Money? Significantly better personal and professional relationships? Which of your problems would be solved?” The Miracle Morning by Hal Elrod.

You can get 2 free chapters of the book here:

I will be writing a review on the book when finished. There are 2 versions of the book and a journal. I got the books today and a few of my friends are starting a group discussion on it. There is a Miracle Morning for Sales People as well that I assumed would be exactly the same as the original, but it is not. It will be interesting to do a book review on both at the same time!
